The new Harisch Suites Kitzbühel give you a „home-away-from-home" feeling during your stay in Kitzbühel, a stylish living experience with a lot of space and privacy. The suite building offers 4 suites with a minimum size of 125 m², among them Austria´s largest suite with 370 m².

Anyway you do not have to abandon the services and amenities of a 5 star hotel: The new suite building features an underground connection to the Hotel Weisses Rössl with its spacious pool and spa areas, which you can use at no charge.

All other services of the luxury hotel can also be enjoyed: From facial treatments and massages in the beauty centre, in-room dining, room service to the breakfast buffet and 7-course gourmet dinner in the restaurant.

The highlight of the new suite building is a private movie for 11 persons with state of the art technology like digital dolby surround sound system and a movie collection. These amenities are exclusively reserved for Harisch Suites guests.

History

Already in 1582, the first owner of Bichlstrasse no. 5, a man named Rudolf Braun, was mentioned in the old archives of Kitzbuehel.??But an even older part of the hotel can be found in the wine cellar, which walls date from the 15th century. They were part of the medieval mural and warded off the attacks of Kitzbuehel´s enemies. Throughout the course of history the owners changed several times. An engraving dated 1850 already shows the "Bichlwirt": The former townhouse was transformed to an inn, which is said to be one of the oldest in Kitzbuehel. An important year was 1893, when the ski sport was born. Thanks to Franz Reisch, the "father of skiing", more and more tourists travelled to Kitzbuehel for skiing. The small"Bichlwirt" inn was enlarged by modern hotel rooms and was run as the hotel "Weisses Roessl" (german for "white horse"). The name "Weisses Rössl" should remind of the old coaching inn, where the horse of the coaches were changed on the way from Salzburg to Innsbruck. Throughout its existance, the Weisses Roessl has been a popular meeting point for artists, business people, the aristocracy and politicians.??From the year 1999 to 2000 the hotel was transformed from a traditional 4-star hotel to a leading 5-star luxury hotel with a new annex, the "Residence", which now hosts spacious hotel rooms, exclusive suites and the spa area.

Location and Travel

The Harisch Suites Kitzbühel are centrally located, just a few steps away from the pedestrian zone with its boutiques, cafés and restaurants. The Hahnenkamm lift station can easily be reached within 5 minutes walking.

The marvellous landscape of the Kitzbühel Alps is conveniently situated for day trips between Munich (120 km), Salzburg (80 km) and Innsbruck (100 km).

Kitzbühel (population: approx. 8.500) is one of the most fascinating town in the Alps. With its historical town centre, the glamorous flair of the shops and boutiques and first-class restaurants Kitzbühel has become a premier address for visitors from all over the world. May it be alpine skiing, golf on one of Kitzbühel´s 4 golf courses, any kind of winter sport activities, a stroll through the romantic old town with its little coffee shops, bars and discos or an evening at the casino - the inexhaustible possibilities of Kitzbühel always guarantee for diversification.

From the direction of Munich
A8 direction Salzburg – at Rosenheim turn off to A93 direction Innsbruck – at Kufstein Süd leave the A93 and follow the B173 and B178 direction St. Johann in Tirol – at St. Johann turn off to B161 direction Kitzbühel – after the place-name sign of Kitzbühel follow the main road - at the first roundabout turn off direction Zentrum – follow the street for approx. 500 m – the hotel is on the right hand side.

From the direction of Italy
Follow the B108 from Lienz over the Felbertauern-Pass (turnpike) direction Mittersill – at Mittersill follow the B161 to Kitzbühel – at Kitzbühel turn off direction Zentrum at the second roundabout - follow the street for approx. 500 m – the hotel is on the right hand side.
