The STRAF is an unconventional building with an intellectuall design, in the heart of Milan. Blending recycled materials into new surroundings in a concept that shakes up the interior of a 19th century Milan palazzo. 62 rooms and 2 suites and 1 executive room combine two philosophies which are unlikey but successfull partners: extreme hi-tech functionality with a minimalist feel and the warm, intimate atmosphere of rooms designed with elegant, innovative materials like quarry-rough slate, burnished brass, concrete and iron, gauze-effect glass and mirrors aged by hand along with furnishings specially designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis.

Bar STRAF has an intense and exciting atmosphere; it offers meticulous all day bar and restaurant services set in an attractively decorated ambience where artistic features such as recycled fibreglass panels and original 1970s furnishings are brought together.
The music is an eclectic combination of vintage sounds for the daytime with more lively and vibrant tracks from dusk onwards. Bar STRAF is patronised by both local and international clientele. The lively happy hour extends late into the evening offering theme nights with live music or a DJ set.
Sunday brunch is a fixed appointment throughout the winter months though it finishes for the summer leaving the menu a la carte to take its place.
The new event room, situated in front of the restaurant and the hall on the ground floor, further extends the hotel's communal spaces that are also dedicated to events such as

Equipped with a mega screen for video projections and conferences, it is als adapted for use as a show room thanks to the modulation and originality of the furniture and to the screen's chromatic changeability.
The room is equipped with broadband internet connection, a video projector and screen, a 42” Plasma TV, Independent audio system or sound diffusion, microphones, flip charts, and teleconferencing equipment (upon request).
The STRAF also has three rooms (2 suites and 1 executive room) on the top floor available for exclusive hire as venues for your special events.
