Award-winning Pezula Resort Hotel & Spa has launched its luxury beach accommodation offering, Pezula Private Castle on Noetzie Beach. Built into the cliff-face on Noetzie Beach, it offers discerning guests direct beach access, huge luxurious suites with private terraces, and personal service from a dedicated team of staff including an executive butler.

The Castle complex offers five spacious luxury suites in three separate castles with sumptuous bathrooms, vast living areas and private terraces overlooking the beach.

Main Castle

Situated in its own manicured private garden which provides direct access to secluded Noetzie Beach, the Main Castle has every conceivable comfort for discerning guests including a heated rim flow pool, a thatched gazebo perched on the rocks, huge terraces with panoramic views of the beach and ocean, and a fully equipped gymnasium.

The magnificent private residence provides the ultimate luxury with two living rooms with wood-burning fireplaces, a 10-seater dining room and three spacious suites with sumptuous bathrooms and magnificent views of the Noetzie Beach and Indian Ocean. You'll love the king-size beds, walk-in wardrobes, individual climate control, flatscreen TV, DVD player and Wi-Fi Internet connectivity.

Bathrooms have walk-in wardrobes, heated marble floors and towel rails, double vanities, separate WCs, free-standing baths and showers. All suites lead out through double doors onto private terraces with comfortable seating and loungers to soak up the sun and the views.

Honeymoon Castle

Adjacent to the Main Castle, the Honeymoon Castle is arguably the most romantic suite in the world. Totally secluded and private, it is decorated as a luxury beach apartment in shades of cream and blue with quirky accessories that give it a nautical flavour.

Downstairs
An open plan living area comprises a diningroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge with wood-burning fireplace and adjoining bathroom. The living area opens onto a wide, sunny terrace shaded with a rustic reed canopy and furnished with tables, chairs and loungers alongside a cosy heated plunge pool.

Upstairs
A spacious bedroom with wood-burning fireplace, and comfortable sitting area with a daybed and armchairs looks through two sets of double windows onto Noetzie Beach with its rugged headlands and restless ocean. A huge bathroom with heated marble floors, double shower room, freestanding bath, dual vanities, walk-in wardrobe and separate toilet complete the luxury.

Cliff Castle

The quaint Cliff Castle, set against the cliff face above the Main Castle, has panoramic views of the beach and ocean. It offers spacious accommodation and absolute privacy for a couple, with a luxury bedroom en-suite, adjoining open-plan living area that includes a kitchenette and comfortable seating area. Double doors open onto a balcony which maximises the views and is great for whale or dolphin spotting!

A spacious bathroom with heated marble floors, dual vanities, walk-in wardrobe and separate toilet complete the luxury.

On request a luxury chauffeured vehicle will transfer you to the hotel where you can enjoy further pampering in the Pezula Spa & Gym, dine in style at Zachary's restaurant, shop for souvenirs at the Private Collection boutique, or sip on something exotic at the Champagne & Whisky Bar.

If you tire of the beach, play 18 holes on Pezula Championship Golf Course or take a guided hike and canoe excursion. Hike through the ancient indigenous forest on the resort down to the Noetzie River, then enjoy a gentle paddle along the pristine river, under the shady canopy of ancient trees, to the river mouth on the beach.

Location and Travel

Pezula is conveniently situated on the outskirts of central Knysna, a bustling lagoon-side community, twice voted South Africas favourite vacation town.

The closest national airport to Pezula is George Airport, an hours scenic drive along the coastline. Charter planes and private jets are welcome at Plettenberg Bay Airport, just 20 minutes drive from Pezula. Port Elizabeth Airport is two and a half hours by car.

Pezulas Concierge can arrange private jet charters to Pezula from anywhere in the world. Charter planes are welcome at Plettenberg Bay Airport, just 20 minutes drive from Pezula, and George Airport, an hours drive to the resort.

Luxury helicopter transfers from George Airport (25 minutes) or Plettenberg Bay Airport (10 minutes) can also be arranged. Both airports can be used for guests who operate their own aircraft. A chauffeur service is also offered for all airport transfers and can arrange luxury car hire from any destination in South Africa.

BY ROAD
Pezula is an easy, scenic drive from Port Elizabeth or Cape Town, with many stops along the way to refuel or enjoy a light meal. The route is along the N2 national highway.
