Description & Location
The Hotel-Restorant Lej da Staz lies adjacent to the Lake Staz –
close to St. Moritz. Ten hotel rooms proffer cosy alpine comfort in
privileged seclusion. The hotel restaurant Lej da Staz was built around 1900 as a chalet with its own tearoom and operated since as a hostel for visitors.
With attention to the detail, the chalet was built in 1900 and renovated with the help of the famous interior designer Eduardo Goretti. Plaid fabrics, furs, wood, bright colors and warm lighting provide a comfortable atmosphere, which integrates the nature.
The hotel has 10 rooms in total. Six deluxe double rooms, two standard double rooms and two single rooms decorated in alpine charm. Furthermore, the rooms are established with large-sized images of the famous photographer Michel Comte.
35 minutes by foot or 20 minutes by horse from St. Mortiz, the Hotel Restorant Lej da Staz is far enough away to enjoy the silence and close enough to participate in urban life.
Directly in front of the hotel, there is a beautiful mountain lake, for swimming in the summer and for talking a walk in the winter. For active guests the hotel offers an ideal base for hiking, climbing, mountain biking and Nordic walking tours.

Location and Travel
Nestled between St. Moritz, Celerina and Pontresina, amidst a vast clearing of the extensive Staz woods, "Lej da Staz"
rests on the shores of the Staz Lake. Surrounded on two sides by moor
fields, reeds and swimming islands of buckbean, its hotel and environs
enjoy a unique and very special ambiance of their own..
Looking
east, the Languard mountain chain draws a distinct line between heaven
and earth – and to the west, the impressive Piz Julier and Piz Albana
silhouettes are seen above the tips of the cedar and larch trees.
Situated on the sunny side of Switzerland’s Alps at a height of 1,800
meters, the holiday region Engadine St. Moritz is world famous also
thanks to stunning and unique land and waterscapes. The valley boasts an
average of 322 sunny days annually (Swiss record!), along with mineral
springs and an extremely pleasant climate. Piz Bernina (4049 m) is the
one and only four-thousander of the eastern Alps – and Piz Palü,
Corvatsch, Corviglia and Diavolezza are other renowned names, summits
and skiing resorts of the region.

Horse & Coach trips. A real romantic Engadine classic – and a pity
to miss either in summer or winter – And it goes without saying that
probably the most beautiful destination is the Staz woods and lake.
