Cases de Son Barbassa means agro tourism surrounded by history. The old houses of Son Barbassa , surrounded by the Natural Park of Llevant of Majorca, whose watchtower dates back to the 16th century, are located at a few kms distance from the medieval centre of Capdepera, very close to Cala Mesquida and Cala Agulla beaches and the tourist centre of Cala Ratjada.

The country estate has an area of 125,000 sqm, with almond trees, olive trees and carob trees. Cases de Son Barbassa combines a mixture of rural and modern tendencies. The old tower and the old style kitchen have become small retreats equipped with comfortable sofas where one can read and relax.

Both breakfast and dinner can be served on the outdoor terrace being surrounded by wild rose trees and the scent of lavender or in our glass covered terrace, or even in the small indoor dining room, where you can taste the products of our country estate. From the swimming pool located on the hill summit, you can enjoy the best panoramic views of Son Barbassa over to the Castle and the town of Capdepera.

The hotel has 12 high comfort rooms available. Each of them has its own personality: rooms with panoramic terraces, 2 junior suites and rooms for families with children.

Location and Travel

As it is located at the foot of Puig de Son Barbassa, the country estate enjoys wonderful views overlooking the bay of Cala Mesquida, Cala Agulla and Cala Ratjada as well as the town Capdepera with its medieval Castle. In a strategic location within the country estate, the remains of the Talayotic people of Son Barbassa dating back to approximately 3.000 years ago can be found. From there you can enjoy splendid views overlooking the natural park Parc natural Llevant de Mallorca. At clear visibility you can see the neighbour island Menorca.

How to get there:

Leaving the airport you have to take the road direction to Santanyi. Leave the road when you see the sign "Manacor" and always follow the directions to Manacor. You will pass by Algaida, Montuiri, Villafranca, Manacor. When you arrive at Manacor, please follow the directions to Sant Llorenç. In Sant Llorenç you have to take the road to Artá and Capdepera, from where you have to take the direction Cala Ratjada and then Cala Mesquida.
