Location and Travel

Blakes, is situated in the quiet residential area of South Kensington. Easily accessible by underground (South Kensington or Gloucester Road) and a short taxi ride from Harrods and Knightsbridge.

A five minute walk can take you to the fashionable Brompton Cross or the Kings Road. Museums such as Victoria and Albert, Natural History and the Science Museum are only five minutes by taxi or a fifteen minute stroll. The Hotel is also close to Londons famous Royal Parks with Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens and The Albert Hal.

The Restaurant walls are exotically layered with fans, made from feathers from rare birds from Brazil, Hempels new project and in the Restaurant are dishes presented in Bento Box’s that arrive in four differing combinations.

Blakes restaurant has an unrivalled reputation of its originality and contents of its superb menu. Each dish, devised by Anouska Hempel, is a skilful blend of East and West, all elegantly presented to look as good as they taste. The Chinese room and the Blakes bar adjoin the restaurant. The restaurant and Chinese room are highly sought after venues for private and corporate parties.

Suite 007
Blakes has a licence to perform wedding ceremonies in Suite 007. Ideal for small groups of up to 36 at the ceremony.

Suite 003
The suite can be rented for private parties. It is decorated in black and white and kown as the Venetian suite. It offers space for dining for up to 8 people and for a reception space for up to 15 people.

Suite 005
The suite can be rented for private functions. For dinner, it offers space for up to 20 people and for a reception space for up to 30 people.

Chinese Room
Blakes Chinese room sits in subterranean splendour just next to the hotel restaurant. Parties of up to 36 can relax in this elegant, eclectic, ethnic hide away. Set up to clients exact specifications it is perfect for breakfast, lunches, dinners, cocktail parties, product launches, day meetings, conferences and banquets.
